The
Landing Analysis
|
|
Although not as dramatic as the expedition, the post-expedition analysis phase of an investigation is almost always where the real discoveries are made. Expeditions, with luck, produce objects and information which then require expert analysis and research to identify. That often means testing by independent laboratories and travel to museums and collections for the physical comparison of artifacts. More often than not, the true moment of discovery happens not in the jungle but in the lab or office. |

| These photos, taken aboard Nai’a during the expedition, show just a small fraction of the total volume of artifacts recovered during Niku IIII. Many will prove to be of no interest, but some will, without doubt, be important clues in the continuing search for the truth about the end of Amelia Earhart’s flight and life. | |||||
| The artifacts we collected have now been photographed, catalogued, and sent to many different experts for analysis. Some of the most interesting of them can be seen on this website (Mysteries of the Seven Site); and we very much need help identifying others of them (Help). Some progress has been made in identification, but much more needs to be done (Artifact Analysis, Part 2). | |||||
| Meanwhile, your financial support is absolutely crucial at this time. Without the support of our membership, none of the artifacts can be worked with in any definitive way. Your generosity over the past two years has amazed and inspired us; help us finish the season’s field work properly now. | |||||
